Dance Explosion was founded in 2001.  It is Barbara's hope that you find our studio to be a fun learning environment, offering the best training available in all styles of dance in one location.  We hire professional and talented instructors to work with our students and help them be the
"Best Dancer They Can Be".


Corinne Musgrove (Ms. Corey)
Corey began dancing at the age of two in Charleston, SC.  She began competing at an early age and has had many honors awarded to her, including the SC State Title in Ballet and Youth Dance Ambassador.  Corey has trained in a wide range of dance disciplines including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Lyrical, and Hip Hop.  she has traveled all over training with instructors such as Mia Michaels, Joe Lanteri, Dena Rizzo, Joey Dowling, and more.  Corey has danced locally with The Serenade Show and the Charleston Live Christmas Spectacular.  She attended Rollings School of the Arts for dance and spent her summers at the SC Governor's School of the Arts in Greenville, SC.  She is currently attending the College of Charleston for a Major in Education with a possible Double Major in Dance.  She has been an active instructor with Dance Explosion as well as spending a year with Brenda Cranford's studio.


Bridget Halloran (Ms. Bridget)
Bridget was raised in Jacksonville, Fla where she began her dance training at the age of 3.  She competed both on a team and as a soloist in tap, jazz, and lyrical.  She discovered a passion for classical and contemporary ballet and focused her studies in that direction.  Bridget has studied extensively in multiple styles of modern dance, her favorite being Graham.  She attended summer programs with the Joffrey Ballet, Kirov, Nutmeg Conservatory and the Atlanta Ballet.  Upon graduation, Bridget was  a recipient of the Tisch Dance Arts Scholarship to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, which she turned down to begin her professional career.  Currently a member of the Charleston Ballet Theatre, she has also been a company dancer at Northern Plains Ballet and has performed as a guest artist in Minneapolis, MN with the Metropolitan Ballet.


Megan Carey  (Ms. Megan)
Megan began dancing at the age of seven.  She has studied Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Lyrical.  She danced with Dance Explosion's competitive team for 6 years winning multiple awards including the Hollywood Vibe MSA Award.  Megan is a student at the College of Charleston, majoring in Abnormal Psychology with a double minor in Dance and Criminal Justice.  She was the Dance Team Captain at Fort Dorchester High School and after graduation spent a year with the College of Charleston Cougarettes.  We are happy to be adding Megan to our staff.
